KOFM Rent Boy

There is a competition on our local radio station, KOFM, where you could win your rent paid. We registered on line to enter. Hey you got to be in it to win it.
Anyway we had a call yesterday from the radio station to say the Rent Boy will be in our area this morning and to be out the front with our signs between 7.30 - 8am. We put about 10 signs up and waited and sung songs while we waited. Anyway we heard on the radio that another very lucky person had won. Tyler got a little bit angry about that. He was very disappointed as we had put up lots of signs and had been there waiting for quite a while.
I rang the radio station and asked if Rent Boy could possibly just come past our place to say hello to Tyler. Tanya at the radio station rang Rent Boy to ask him and then rang me back to say he was on his way. Wow, aren't we lucky!
The KOFM car pulled up. Rent Boy and another lovely guy jumped out with a big sign and took a photo of us all. Tyler was very very happy to see them. Thank you so much to our great radio station for this special attention. You made one little boy's day. Cheers.

Summer fun

Now that the warmer weather is upon us, its great to see Tyler and Angel outside enjoying the sunlight and having water play. Though I am not too sure Angel is enjoying the water. She took herself for a swim by accident. She walked along the edge of the clam pool and fell in. Although its only a paddling pool it was over her little head. Luckily I was close and pulled her out. It was funny to see her run around the back yard like a looney.

Angel Update

Our little Angel is doing really well.
She has put on 200 grams and now weights 0.8kg.
A recent visit to the vet left us both destressed. She had her first immunisation and had to be micro-chipped. That was terrible. I have never heard a cry and scream from a little puppy like that before. It was just horrible and cruel. But its done now.

She is more awake now and is getting too difficult to take to work so unfortunatly she will have to stay home from now on. She is great company but too fast when she takes off.

Tyler has been showing signs of jealousy, which is quite normal and to be expected. I try not to go mad on him all the time but when he plays wheelbarrows with her and pulls her leg to get her out from under the bed or swing her around while playing its just a bit much too bear. She is learning to be a tough little cookie. Its the funniest sound when she tries hard to growl at me. I have to be so quiet to hear her. she is just adorable.
Tyler and I both love her very much.

Health News

Where to start. I will start with me. My health hasn't been the best and I am not sure what is going on. Last week I was not a well little cookie. I couldn't get a doctor in the Maitland area so Renee took me up to the hospital. I didn't feel comfortable going as I don't want to waste their time but I needed to be checked out and have test and there was the only place that I would be seen. When the nurse took me straight through and got me gowned up I started to worry that it might be serious. But luckily after numerous tests, some hydralite, I was sent home. A follow up with my doctor indicated high blood pressure, more tests and various other things that need a specialist appointment. Today the doctor surgery rang me - the doctor has my pathology results and wants to see me. So I will venture down there on Wednesday to see what is going on. Its nothing serious, just a few little things at the same time.

Now Mum - she is not a well little vegemite either. She is having bone density test and specialist appointments this week. Her hip and knee are really really bad. But she has also had another terrible lung infection, has compression fractures in her spine and has an anurism (dont know how to spell that one) forming in her aorta. More news on that this week after her appointments.

Nan - Nan has now settled into a high dependant retirement home. She is not going too well at all. Physically there is not much more the doctors can do for her. Her mobility is near zero - she needs help bathing, toileting and dressing. Her emotional well being fluctuates but is mostly not good. She knows on one level that she has to be there but its extremely difficult for her to accept. She has lived on her own for over 30 years and has been extremely independant until the past few years. Its a very emotinal time for both her and mum. She only has mum and its alot of pressure for mum to do this all on her own. Mum is trying to stay strong and all that I can do at this stage is try to support her and pray for her.

Our new little Angel

We have a new addition to our family.
She is 8 weeks old and just adorable. She is a miniture foxy/jack russell and her name is Angel. That is the name she came with.

Toilet training is a slow process. I think I need shares in paper towel and pine o-cleen companies. I think she has been to the toilet in every room of the house.
I don't remember this much mess when I was toilet training Tyler.

Gypsy (the cat) hasn't been too bad, so far. They have just done the usual sniff and walk away which is really good. Maybe Gypsy does not see her as a threat because she is so so small .

Small - oh my goodness she is small. About the size of my hand stretched out. I can't believe how big Gypsy looks now, and how heavy she is.

Tyler is definately out numbered now. He loves her and is doing really well with her. He has only dropped her twice LOL.

Little Angel has Tyler's and Gypsy's sleeping habits - that is they only want to sleep with Mum. The lady at the vet said the best thing do to is just ignore her. Oh by the way I am locking her up in the bathroom of a night. Ignore her - HOW. Last night I let her howl and cry for 3 and half hours. After midnight I couldn't handle it any more. I needed some sleep. They say that the pups will eventually stop crying and just go to sleep. WHEN. How long will she cry for. I thought she would have exhausted herself before then and crashed out. But oh no. She just got herself so destressed that she poohed every where and cried out continuously. Any suggestions would be good. And if anyone has a tick tock clock that I could borrow that would be great too.

House Inspections

I have another house inspection next week. Its a little grizzle of mine.
As a renter, I know they have to have them but I dread them. I spend the weeks before trying my hardest to get the house as best as I can. And I do try with the yard but there is just so much to do out there I don't know where to start. I really need to have a busy bee at my house to get a hand doing my gardens and yard.
Any way the house inspections only take about 15 min but the lead up is exhausting. I get so nervous about them and I am not sure why.
Our real estate goes through so many staff its not funny so each time is with a new person and I don't know what to expect. Some property managers are really casual, doing a quick look, tick the boxes and off they go. But some are really fussy which is annoying. Anyway a part from a yard that serious needs some work that I know i won't be able to do, the rest will hopefully be ok.
